Zcash Developers Update 4-5-19

By Elise Hamdon

This is our fortnightly community and communications update; last week’s engineering update is available here.

Zcashd v2.0.4 was released, which fixes a Sprout wallet security bug, fixes miner address selection behaviour and introduces a new consensus rule on testnet to reject blocks that violate turnstiles. Zcashd v2.0.4 will be supported until block 569112, expected to arrive around July 15th, 2019, at which point the software will end-of-support halt and shut down.

Today we introduced the latest addition to our website—the Buzz page! This sleek compilation of news from an array of online sources tracks all things buzz-worthy related to Zcash and Electric Coin Company.

In case you missed last week’s event, the 2019 Q1 Livestream is now available on the Electric Coin Company YouTube channel. Learn more about our progress — directly from the leadership team. Subscribe to the channel to receive notifications in the future. Following the livestream, additional Q&A took place in the Forum.
